Sandblasting

To produce frosted surfaces we use sand or glass bead blasting.

This process is particularly suitable on metal surfaces because these are often finished and hardened by anodizing or similar treatments. On acrylic or Plexiglas we have replaced this method with painting which has the advantage that fingerprints caused by hand sweat are no longer visible.
